How to get here
The main access to the valley is the provincial road of the Varaita Valley (No. 8 and No. 105) that starts in Costigliole Saluzzo, winds up to the upper valley for about 45 km and goes on to the French region of Queyras crossing the Agnello Pass (open in summer from mid-June to mid-October).
Costigliole S. can easily be reached by the following means of transportation:
ROADS AND MOTORWAYS
- Motorway A6 TURIN-SAVONA, exit MARENE, then follow the state highway in direction of Savigliano - Costigliole S.;
- State highway LAGHI DI AVIGLIANA: Saluzzo-Verzuolo-Varaita Valley; or Cuneo-Busca-Costigliole S.- Varaita Valley.
AIR CONNECTION
- AIRPORT OF CASELLE (TURIN): then continue to the valley by car, bus (bus lines ATI from Turin, Corso Marconi); train (from Turin Porta Nuova to Savigliano; then to Saluzzo)
- AIRPORT OF LEVALDIGI (CN): connection Cuneo Levaldigi - Rome Fiumicino (daily roundtrip); connection Cuneo Levaldigi-Alghero (via Roma); from 01/06/2000 connection Cuneo-Milan-Venice (daily roundtrip).
